Middleburg - The Heart of Virginia's Hunt Country
For more than two centuries, Middleburg has been the unofficial capital of Virginia's Hunt Country — a village of weathered stone and brick where foxhunting, fine horses, and a deep respect for the land are simply a way of life. Founded in 1787 and centered on a Main Street that has changed remarkably little, the town is home to the Red Fox Inn, serving travelers since 1728, the National Sporting Library & Museum, and a growing collection of celebrated wineries in the surrounding hills.
It is also where I live, raise my family, and have had the privilege of serving the community. Forty minutes from Washington yet a world away in pace and character, Middleburg offers historic in-town residences, working farms, and country estates set among some of the most protected open land in the Commonwealth. For those drawn to a life measured in seasons, hounds, and horizons, there is nowhere quite like it.
