Marshall — A Working Main Street in Wine Country
Quietly, Marshall has become one of the most interesting small towns in Northern Virginia. Located along Route 55 in northwestern Fauquier County with direct I-66 access, the town of approximately 3,300 anchors a true crossroads — Hunt Country to the north, Sky Meadows and the Blue Ridge to the west, and an expanding constellation of wineries, cideries, and farm-to-table restaurants in every direction. Field & Main, Red Truck Bakery, and The Whole Ox have given its Main Street a national reputation.
The market here offers meaningful acreage, character homes, and equestrian properties at value-per-acre that remains accessible relative to Middleburg or Great Falls. North and west along Leeds Manor Road, the landscape opens into horse farms, conservation easement-protected acreage, and long-driveway estates.
