Tucked into the Crooked Run Valley at the foot of the Blue Ridge, Delaplane is a small unincorporated village in northern Fauquier County — and home, by local count, to more working vineyards within a single zip code than nearly any place outside Sonoma. The community lies within the Middleburg American Viticultural Area, with Sky Meadows State Park, an International Dark Sky Park of approximately 1,862 acres, donated in part by Paul Mellon, at its heart.
